Sunshine!

Thank you for all your kind comments, hearts and stars on yesterday's 7 year blipversary. They confirm my thoughts on what a nice lot you all are!! You brought some sunshine to my life!
However, the sunshine of the title is not metaphorical, it is all too real.  The last few days have been grey and misty. We haven't seen the sky, and scarcely seen the horizon, for at least a week. I know there has recently been a full moon but there was no sign of it in our nightsky, and in the days a dull grey light came equally from all directions, without even a clue as to where the sun was.
So it was exciting to see that the weather forecast indicated sun today, not too much and only here for one day but we hoped it would dry things out a little and enable us to put away some of the garden furniture. And that is what my blip shows - a slightly watery sun lighting up the village and the autumn colours. It was only around for about an hour and kept coming and going but it was such a relief to see it - spirits were very much lifted!
We are now promised a week of solid rain totalling over 50mm so I'm glad we got to see the sun today, because we won't be seeing it again for a while!
