Chutney

It has rained for most of the day so a good chance to make chutney. This is date and apple chutney from a recipe a friend shared with me over 40 years ago. What I specially like about this recipe is that it requires no boiling so one is spared the unpleasant smell of boiling vinegar invading the house. I will leave it to mellow for up to 48 hours before bottling.
