Fly Agaric

Came across the iconic little red & white toadstools on our walk today. I've never seen them in real life before! Look at the one in the top right hand corner that is perfectly in tact. We found them at the highest point of our walk (see extra).

We followed the Bowkerstead Trail at the southern end of Grizedale forest. It was a beautiful walk and quite steep and strenuous at times. The section along Force Beck was particularly picturesque (3rd extra). We got absolutely drenched on our way back down as the rain got heavier and heavier!
