Honey Fungus

A short walk in the wood after posting a couple of letters - part of my extra admin for October.  One I’ve had to do again as the first time it appeared to go missing in the post.

Not much happening in the wood apart from lots of acorns dropping from the trees and this patch of honey fungus where I found it last year.  I also got rather interested in one of the fallen tree trunks which has now almost disintegrated back into the earth and wondered if I could track it back through my photos - at least to 2015 which was the first time I really started fungus hunting in the wood.

My mum would have been 92 today.
