Some more bounty from our plot . 
Beetroot harvested and washed ready for the next stage .
Raised bed , weeded , covered in rotted compost and covered for  the Winter so that the worms can do their job of mixing it in . 
Earlier on we collected several kg of conkers . We came across a small child and his grandma who were also collecting and  the little boy decided he would give us his stash which was very sweet of him . We explained why we were collecting them , his grandma didn’t seem too interested , so no convert there ! Now  Dave is busy getting them ready for drying , we have calculated that 7kg , dried weight will provide enough washing liquid for the year . We have been using conker solution to wash our clothes in since last autumn and are really pleased with its performance. 
The weather has been unexpectedly sunny today , what a bonus !
