Carrifran

This is what the southern uplands in the borders should look like.   Twenty years ago they started planting native trees and they have taken off.   No sheep and no deer allowed, of course.   We spent a few hours, walking, having an outdoor lunch and taking in what could be.   We were a bit early in the year for the autumn colours but the aspens were looking good and there was a good show of berries.
