Swan Piper

It’s been a hectic week but today I managed to take a short stroll along the towpath where I met the swan piper.
He was reluctant to talk, but eventually opened up to tell me that he’d fed the lone female since last year, before she met Mr Swan.
He goes out early morning to check on them, luring them back from the locks and Kilby Bridge where Mr Swan got caught up in a fight with another, much bigger male.
I’m hoping to meet up with the rather shy ,swan piper’ again, he seemed like a really good man .
