Young friends

Young friendship is such an interesting thing to observe. In the case of Ruby and Aidan, pictured here, it has been a journey to this moment. Both 4 years old, almost 5, they now really enjoy each other. There is only an occasional glimmer of the fierce rivalry they used to have with each other over toys, friends, food, well, just about anything. It is a beautiful thing to observe your baby/toddler mature into a small girl who can handle trials of friendship and reap its rewards. It was a lovely, warm, spring afternoon watching the mares and their colts romp around in the fields.
