After walking several miles we were confronted by a large stretch of “knee deep water”  according to two people who were soaked despite their wellies.  It was very frustrating as it was barely a mile from the car so we crossed a fence and went across a very muddy ploughed field to reach another track, so adding time and distance, but it was good to be out again after yesterday’s rain
