Go North We Did

It was a beautiful day for a ride into the White Mountains in the northern part of the state.  The reason was the Manhattan Short Film Festival.  A great October thing to do that we've been doing for about the last 7 years.  From September 24th to October 31st all over the United States and the world, the nine finalist films are shown to audiences and every audience member votes on their favorite movie and favorite actor.  Today was the last day of the screening and the only venue in New Hampshire was 2 hours away this year.  The theatre was an old one, the viewers were safely distanced and masks were worn entering and leaving and moving about the theater.  There were 961 entrants narrowed down to the final nine.  Fascinating, funny and very powerful films.  There was one entry from the USA and it was definitely the most powerful in my opinion.  Dealing with simple to very complex issues.  All great and very entertaining.
