Silver Birch

I spent much of the morning washing the kitchen windows and getting the room ready for the arrival of the new washing machine after lunch.  It's never easy having large deliveries to our house as we live on a steep, narrow street and our kitchen is below the level of the road, so steps have to be negotiated or items have to be toted around the end of the terrace and up the back.  Added to this was the perfect storm of tradesmen's vehicles parked up along the street, leaving no space.  I got myself in a real tizz and took off with my camera to the Moor till it was all over.

Tony always remains very calm in these situations, thankfully.  I was just dropping off the Moor when he sent me a text to say the good news was I could go home, the bad news was that the delivery van could not get up the street so we will have to reschedule and they will return in a smaller van!  So back to the handwashing then!

It was very lovely on the Moor with blue sky and fluffy clouds one way and these dark clouds the other.
