Soul mates

Slept ok, woke early to see the sun streaming in :-)

We had arranged to go to a particular shop this morning to look at plantation shutters for the new front windows, once installed....not too far, got there only to find it was closed! Their website didn't say this :-( We rang to enquire and sure enough closed Sunday & Monday, looks as though another trip tomorrow.

Stopped off quickly near the canal to find a blip for today.......these swans were happy to oblige......then it was on to Sainsburys for some storecupboard things.....got some "bottles" and a couple of things towards "x" things too. We called for a coffee before heading home. By the time everything was put away it was 2.30 so a late lunch, tuna jacket & salad for me, tuna sandwich for hub.

After a lovely morning the weather has taken a turn for the worse, its been pouring down for the last couple of hours, again!

I made a nasi goreng for dinner this evening, with flaked mackerel and shredded omlette on top with spring onions and cucumber....we really enjoyed it.....next time I make it going to try thinly sliced fillet steak on top ;-)

Not seeing sis till Friday this week, so who knows what tomorrow holds, well apart from a repeat of this mornings trip of course ;-)
