Conkers

A real throwback to my childhood.  I picked up these conkers on the farm where L rides yesterday. It got me thinking about whether conker fights were still something children do today.  I remember the efforts we would make to find a suitable conker, harden it using various methods including boiling them in vinegar, before battling it out ink the school playground.  I imagine such things have now probably fallen foul of health and safety.
