Big Changes

It was a day of change.

The view from the kitchen window will never be the same, the building behind us was knocked down totally today. That radio mast that used to get into my sunsets will no longer protrude or intrude....it was on the ground folded up like a concertina!

My old Uncle died the other day. He was my Dads brother and he was 92. The funeral was today and I went along to pay my respects, unfortunately I hadn't seen him for a couple of years.

It was strange to see all the changes in family members that I hadn't seen for a very long time. They saw changes in me too, we're all getting old!

They had old photos playing in a slide show format on a big screen, and I was watching my uncles life pass by when suddenly there was a picture of my Mum and Dad (both gone for years now) in a family group shot taken about 30 years ago. It felt momentarily that they were there.....it was weird.

Later when I got home and realised the building and its mast was gone I thought I should take another sunset shot. So I sat down at the computer as I needed to wait for another hour or so and got sucked into the footage of the comet crashing into Russia and then I missed the sunset!

So the shots I got were way after the sunset and you cant see the lack of the building in the background but they did show me in the reflection from the kitchen window :) and I've played around with it in Snapseed, definitely some changes there !
