How long will it stay green?

This is the easement behind our property. (Note that our hedge still hasn't been trimmed!) This is about as green as I have seen it. If last year is anything to go by, by Christmas it will be straw-coloured, dry and crackling under our feet. In the meantime we are enjoying the wisteria we have been trying to regenerate.
