Paused Shielding - Day 67
A fuzzy Hummingbird Hawk Moth - it was dark and raining, he was just too fast for me and my little camera!
A lovely morning catching up with friends B and K at our favourite farm shop cafe at Newton St Loe, it’s been ages since we got together for a chin wag. Things actually felt “normal” for a few of hours! We sat outside, luckily under a canopy, as the sunshine alternated with heavy downpours, not that we noticed as we were too busy chatting. What we did notice though, was this Hummingbird Hawk Moth who turned up in the flower bed next to our table. Only the second time that I’ve seen one of these moths so he has usurped the photo I’d already taken of the lovely view from the cafe, added as an extra.
So after three hours in the real world, it was back home to start on the bread making, ready for the Great British Bake Off later this evening. My white loaf came out ok, but the gluten free brown bread was a complete flop. There’s also a granary loaf to taste, made earlier in the week. Which will be the winner?!
Take care, stay safe and well...
