Boat

One of the features of Dungeness is the abundance of disused boats, stranded on the shingle. After our trip to Thanet today, I spent a couple of hours exploring them.

We drove to Margate this morning, hoping to visit the Turner Contemporary art gallery, which is currently closed for "works." Instead I enjoyed the grungy sea front with some decayed structures and some "prom art."

Then, to Botany Bay - not the Aussie version - but shapely chalk cliffs.  A small wedding party were having their photos taken. Broadstairs is nearby and has an attractive bay, with colourful beach huts and boats.
