Sundogs in Hauganes
ÁLFkonur photography club met at 15:30 today to begin what now has become the annual Autumn photography trip. Thirteen of us drove to Hauganes where we stopped at my parents cottage, took some photos and explored the area and had hot chocolate with Stroh Rum (except for the driver, of course!)
We were also extremely lucky to see two Sundogs (Aukasól in Icelandic) in the sky while we were having our drink and of course we tried photographing them with both cameras and smartphones. I had never seen this phenomenon before and I'm almost 50!
Dinner for the whole group was waiting for us in Gísli Eiríkur Helgi Café in Dalvík and then later in the evening we drove to Ólafsfjörður where we had two loghouses reserved for the weekend. Fun times ahead! :)
