Afternoon Stroll

I was driving past a local hardware store (in my new car!!), when these ladies caught my eye and I had to park up to capture them on film:) Apparently, they belong to a nearby hotel and often gather here looking for food, although there didn't appear to be anything but gravel on the ground. They wandered into the main road, holding up all the traffic, including a police van which simply tooted them out of the way!

I liked the different colours on their necks, though they're not as colourful as the male of the species, but there was no sign of any male peacock to keep this lot in check:)
