My historical thriller’s cover is out tomorrow!

I first saw the cover for City of Vengeance back in May, but the vicissitudes of publishing meant it had to stay under wraps until now...

Now - finally! - the big moment is nearly here. Tomorrow the cover will be revealed at long last. Soon advance copies of the book will go out to reviewers. Eeeek!

The novel - a historical thriller set in Renaissance Florence - is being published on 4th February 2021 by Pan Macmillan. It's the first in a series featuring Cesare Aldo, an officer of the court on the wrong side of the law.

City of Vengeance is the culmination of years of writing, decades of research and I've proud of it. Feels like 30 years of being a writer were all preparation for this novel, this character, this story...
