The small and the big

This giant land snail was having a good feed of the grass -  I haven't seen one partly out of the shell before.
I placed a garden snail next to it for scale. I have had even larger ones in the garden. I haven't been aware of these snails eating my plants like the smaller ones do - I had better observe them more closely.
