Gender issues...

Another interesting day in rural Zambia!  Visited some more projects and one of them was about gender.  
In zambia, usually the man takes charge of all the money in the house and the woman does most of the work.  The programme we are doing with couples is helping them to understand how to work as a team  - in bringing up children and doing things together as a family.  This beautiful couple told a story of almost abuse in the things the man used to do and yet today as you can see they are working together!  Some of the stories would bring you to tears!  I am thankful to see peoples lives being changed!
