Christmas shopping

This will be the first Christmas that we have spent at home for a long time, so this year we’ll have to make an effort to make the house more “Christmassy”.  First move today, buy a new tree. We went to Webb’s this morning, the place was heaving, with a long wait for the necessary coffee and cake
It seems to be virtually impossible to make even the shortest of journeys without meeting some sort of roadworks. Today it was just temporary lights, three weeks ago the same trip involved a road closure and diversion, with no signs after the  start.
Tomorrow we’re thinking of going to Stratford on Avon, I wonder what sort of joy that will bring.
