Cormorants on watch

Interesting to see so many cormorants at Teddington Weir today. After all the recent rain the river is very high and flowing very fast so I think they are looking out for fish and are ready to dive in. A few years ago their was a proposal to put in a turning to produce electricity, but it did not happen as would not have been cost effective. A turbine there today would have produced lots of electricity! See extra for the view further downstream.
