I had to go into town to sort out some bits and bobs. I heard reports that the steel sheets covering bits of the old tram pulley system were removed. So I used the opportunity to check it out. Turns out, there was just a pile of concrete underneath. Looks like the interesting bits were removed a while ago. I guess you couldn't have a hole suddenly opening on Leith Walk swallowing up cars.
