Over There
A few weeks ago my cousin from Buckinghamshire arranged to drop in and see us today, en route to Mull. With all the talk of travel restrictions and lockdown tightening, I wondered if it would actually happen.
Well, today it did. It had to be out of doors, of course. We made all possible preparations to avoid hypothermia - lit the chimney, put up the gazebo (that was a struggle, as usual), looked out a pile of woollen rugs, and sent up little prayers to the sun-gods.
And it was ok. It didn't rain, no-one needed a rug, the wind didn't blow and the chiminea didn't smoke (well, not enough to make our eyes water). The sun even managed a couple of brief appearances.
It was so good to see them, and we had so much to talk about that I didn't get a picture, so the view from the gazebo will have to do.
