Getting ready for winter

I find it fascinating how within a short time trees, bushes and the like produce seed pods and berries in such a short time.  

I spent the day getting J ready to travel tomorrow.  I am apprehensive about him driving all those miles by himself, but he seems fine with it.  In fact, I think he is looking forward to it - that all important "alone" time.
