Coniston Old Man

For those of you who know your Lakeland fells this is me last Saturday, stolen off the Lakeland Trails Website.

Taken by Jumpy Jack (c) the poor bugger sat on his backside in the rain waiting for all shapes and sizes to come trundling by,

We did ok, myself, my cousin and her husband, and a few mates from their running club. We all beat the storm and the serious rain that the 15Km runners copped for.

A day later you could have done a half or marathon in some lovely autumnal sunshine.

Sadly this is the last Lakeland Trail run this year, rest now all cancelled, but I am thinking of a series pass for a future year. Good excuse for a few trips up to the Lakes for long weekends, and the scenery is just about OK.
