I've seen the light.

We got up early , had our breakfast, and then Mr Sparks phoned to say he would be arriving at 10 0'clock. We were on tenterhooks until he arrived, and he came before time. J  made us a flask of coffee and some sandwiches for our lunch, so I went out for a walk.  By the time I got back he was making good progress, so J & I went into the dining room and had our lunch.  J was back & forth to the kitchen to monitor his progress while I went to read my book. For once I got the better deal:-) Five hours later the job was done, so we washed out the cupboards we had had to empty, put everything back in it's place, and then joy of joy, J turned on the oven. Nothing too exciting tonight, so we are having pie & chips for our evening meal. but as we haven' tasted chips for two weeks  they will go down a treat. All this drama because they wanted to fit Smart meters. We are going to hold off until we have to have them fitted, and I have heard so many people who say they don't work.
