In Loving Memory
I went with my Dad and sister to the funeral of my dear Uncle Bill who died just 4 months after my Aunty Shirley. Once again the funeral arrangements and numbers allowed to attend were severely restricted due to COVID-19 rules, but all who could come were there.
We heard very moving tributes from all of my cousins and for once I was grateful for the cotton mask for hiding my quivering chin, runny nose and for soaking up the tears.
When we emerged from the chapel to the strains of 'The Magnificent Seven' by the RPO the sun was shining and we were able to spend a little time together celebrating my kind, clever, funny uncle who was loved by all who knew him.
