Spotted Sandpiper

Normally you'd expect to see sandpipers near the ocean. Not these little fellas. Mum and I went for a walk around a dried up pond today and there were two of these little guys poking around in the mud. There was also a great blue heron, but it flew off as soon as it saw us and all I got were a few blurry photos of it in flight.
