With the loss (removal) of most of our back hedge and tree the birds are a bit (understatement) short of nesting and roosting places, so as a gesture  of good will we have bought them a new terrace bird box.
 
This morning I gave the outside a coating of wood preserver.  When it’s dry it will go into the top of the hedge to give them some cover.
 
We spoil our wildlife . . .
