Facebook Friday
I know this violates the same day policy but I'm going through my social media photo archives trying to escape the SAD (scary, angry, depressing) discussions there. This is from my wife's and my trip to England and Wales in celebration of our 25th Anniversary back in (we've just celebrated 43 years so you can do the math).
It was a magical trip.
This particular photo is of Tywynn in Wales. We never made it to Chepstow which I now know my mother's family was from when they emigrated to Jonesport on the state of Maine's coast. I sometimes wonder if I'm a distant relative of singer Charlotte Church. That would be special.
Photographically the back story is that my daughter had just dragged me kicking and screaming into the digital age by gifting me with a refurbished Olympus 2.1 mg point and shoot camera. Convenient for travel, much less expensive and easier to use - I fell in love with it. The only draw back ... not enough oomph to crop and enlarge my favorites. It wasn't long before I was researching cameras with more oomph and longer lenses. So much for "less expensive".
Stay safe and take care of each other folks ... and the adventure through the viewfinder continues.
