Swimming against the current

Had to drag myself over to the west side of the lake this morning because we foolishly swam downstream not realising how strong the current was. On the way back, I was standing up, wading against the current because I could barely make progress swimming. I thought I was going to have to get out and walk!.  Another swimmer called me to the other side where the current was considerably less strong and the light on the autumn leaves considerably better.
