Heads in the trough

Mother and big chicks who can all use the treadle feeder now and run outside all day with the rest of the flock. The speckled one in the middle is a cockerel full of character so will need a new home soon. The big ginger one at the top is a quiet cockerel so he can stay a bit longer.

A wet day outside so I made some chutney and for once it smells and looks like chutney.

Covid case numbers are going up and I hear reports of a very local and worrying outbreak here. Not sure where we are going with this
Amid all that excitement I nearly forgot that it's gin night tonight which doesn't feel the same now Friday football training has stopped but I shall enjoy the gin (and crisps) anyway, it's the last dram from  the Brew dog cloudy lemon gin.
