Lingon Cordial (Rårörd lingondricka)
The finished product filled five and a half bottles. The beautiful labels are by Jan.
Since no heating was involved the  cordial is now stored in our cellar fridge to keep it fresh as long as possible.  This seems a little uncertain as I checked a lot of recipes on the web and keeping times ranged from 1 week to 1 year! I'm reckoning between one and three months. We shall see, unless we drink it all before it goes off. It is delicious diluted 1:4 with water, and rather lovely mixed 50/50 with kombucha, and then that mix diluted 1:3 with water.
The outside world is very soggy just now. We had more rain today. But we did manage a walk before the next round of rain arrived and I took a picture of a very red leaf, (extra) as a sort of tribute to Shelling, who found out so much about why the leaves change colour when they do.  The leaves turn red as protection against the sun once their chlorophyll has gone.
This autumn an excess of sunlight has not been a problem!
