Limaratus

Going through the box of ‘stuff’ from our travels. We are creating a photobook. The box has all kinds of things - bus and train tickets, business cards, leaflets, maps, and money. This is all from Indonesia.
When we went into Indonesia we were petrified that we would struggle because nobody would speak English. So in two days in Darwin we learned enough Indonesian to get by. I’m terrible with languages, but it turns out that fear is a great motivator. Of course, loads of people spoke English, but it was still useful.
‘Lima ratus’ is 500. Everything seemed to cost Lima ratus.
