Friday treat
A glorious sunny morning meant that Eda and I had fun going to nursery making funny legs with our shadows.
She had carried a little pot of Cheerios, raisins and nuts with her and insisted on sitting and eating some of them on a tree stump near the nursery entrance as the rest of the queue passed her to hand their little ones over. Quite amusing.
She doesn’t normally have breakfast on nursery days unless it’s toast or fruit but as she gets it there it hardly matters. In a typical three year old delaying tactic she declared she wanted breakfast as we’d got her coat on ready to leave this morning.
Eventually someone called her from the gate and she left the remaining cereals for me to bring for her to finish at picking up time, which she did . (They didn’t have milk on them!)
An extra treat at picking up time was that Boppa had joined us.
He pushed Jude, he doesn’t know all a Eda’s little routes and variations such as climbing on the walls or walking and balancing on the narrow edging stones alongside the grass or going off piste through the ‘forest’ ( long grass). He expects to walk straight back on the pavement!
I’m going to miss our quirky little walks to nursery and back, hopefully it won’t be too long before I can do them again.
For tea daddy went to a nearby fish and chip shop that Grace had found online, recommended by the Ceoliac Society. The fish and chips were specially cooked to order in a dedicated separate fryer. They even gave us a bottle of gluten free vinegar.
They were delicious and Eda really enjoyed them, a rare treat for her. Only one complaint, we had too much.
Jude will have to wait a while before she can have any!
A great start to the weekend.
Have a good one everybody.
Great purple flowers in Grace’s garden - for baby purple as TML here and there says.
