the city wakes

Busy day at work but good progress made. Again I didn't make it outside very much, except for a trip to the supermarket which was surprisingly busy.

Watched Elektrokohle with Felix. The film is a documentary of the West Berlin band Einstürzende Neubauten going to play a ging in East Berlin in December 1989 shortly after the fall of the wall. Felix plans to write about music in East Germany for his advanced highers. I like the Neubauten and this is an excellent film giving an impression of what happens when subcultures mix.
