Chesty Bond

Chesty Bond has been the protruding jaw and muscular torso of Bond’s underwear for 80-odd years. K tells me he also appeared in a long-running advertising comic strip where he transformed into a superhero by putting on his Bond’s singlet.

The company shifted its manufacturing overseas a while ago but Chesty lives on, on two sides of the tower of the former factory in Camperdown.
