Ah, Turkey
A full on day! In to Didim with Graham and Kat for breakfast at My Bar before driving to IKEA on the outskirts of Izmir. A productive tour of their premises resulted in a car full of purchases, including a new chest of drawers for me to house all those autumnal clothes I'm going to need quite soon. Our marathon masked mooch around the store necessitated recovery vittles at the nearby Midpoint restaurant before heading home. Back by 19.30, it was a quick turn around and we went, with Sally and Alan, to Didim marina for dinner at "Upstairs" restaurant. Must be the first time I've eaten there and a) not taken a photograph - having taken quite a few during the day already; b) felt really rather cold. Car said 17ºC as we drove home.
Some extra pics today :-
"How much is the kitty in the window?" - street cat snoozes in shop window whilst street dog eats his dried food donated dinner.
The open road and backdrop views on the journey to Ikea.
The main shot was taken during sundown on the journey home. A combination of the late golden light and heavy cloud formations created extraordinary golden pockets on the mountains in the distance.
A good day to be retired in Turkey :)
