Curlew

I know that this curlew looks like it is calling, but it is actually yawning. I cycled along to Scapa Bay at about 7.30- (the mornings are getting dark!) and it was nice to hear the 'callyoo' calls of the long-tailed ducks back on the bay, here for the winter from the breeding grounds in the far north. Only seven this morning, but the numbers will grow steadily.
