A little more than I can chew

We we full of seasoned logs. Mostly oak and ash. My sheds give me enough for a very cold winter, so i normally have some left over to start the next years stash... The neighbour of a local friend of Naomi's had a deseased beech... At least 4ft diameter. We were slow on the uptake, and missed the branches, so now have half of the trunk. Stashed in every corner of the garden. A little splitting left to go, and Next winter sorted. If it is as warm as last; no more foraging till 2022.
Grateful for the beauty of wood, and the symbol of a warm evening that it represents.
