Fish Friday Fandango
Down to Shawbury "HQ" (Mike's lovely house near Coleshill) with Anderson for him to meet the boss... Hard to describe Anderson's incredible nervous energy, like someone on drugs I'd imagine, probably at least partly related to being a diabetic who doesn't control his sugars very well (Mike A - friend/colleague - is also a diabetic, but just despairs at the way Anderson fails to deal with it). I stayed behind after he left, Mike just said "Um, quite a character, huh?" :D
He is a phenomenon... for example, I was exhausted after the wine tasting followed by drive etc - he then drove back home (I stayed down that way with Francis), and was up at 6am the next day to play golf, played 36 holes... Bear in mind he is 63...
Also discovered another Pieroth Doncaster colleague, Chris F, is coming on board (had contacted Mike off his own bat) - had a good chat with him on the phone... now means I have four in my "team", which is good for all sorts of reasons, not least financially, as I will get paid 1% of whatever they sell...
Francis grew up in an Irish Catholic family, so no surprise that Fish on Friday is a tradition... Drive from Lichfield to Burntwood for the "best chips in Staffordshire" - and lovely people too - always a queue; then back to Netherstowe near Lichfield for the best fish in the area; then back 'home' to pop them in the microwave for 2 minutes and then consume, with Champagne, of course! (BTW I'm proud to say I left some of my fish, which I had in a "fish banjo" (sandwich) the following day). Francis couldn't believe I'd never had a saveloy, so that was added to my meal too!
