Sandringham

A rare lie-in, then out to Sandringham for a walk in the autumnal woods. Sadly the light was flat for photos - as I write this now, the sun is out and the light is much more dramatic. Plenty of fungi on rotten wood and tree stumps and enough sweet chestnuts to feed an army of squirrels. Home to read and prepare for 2 days of ERASMUS meetings over the next few days - were circumstances different I would now be in Berlin or Bruges ahead of the meetings. Instead I will be in my bedroom for them. Looking forward to 2nd instalment of Palin looking back at his journeys.
