Autumnal Sunday

A bright sunny day so we went up to the Stansted House estate for a morning walk with Merlin.  We found a good loop that I think we'll go back and use again.  There were lots of people out - walking, cycling, and horse riding, and the cafe was busy with people queuing to get food.

After lunch I spend a few hours at the allotment.  The cold nights have finished off the tomatoes and courgettes so I pulled up most of them, along with the French beans.  I harvested a big bag full of green tomatoes. If they don't ripen I will turn them into chutney.  I also put in my seed onions - red and white, and planted garlic, lettuce seedlings and spinach.  I'm not sure how the last two will get on but hopefully some of them will grow.

Andy stayed at home and cut the grass and made hummus with our new super duper blender.  It worked well and so we now have a big bowl of tasty stuff to eat with our pasta for dinner this evening.

Hope your day has gone well.
