Gallop

We went walking with friends today. It’s been a beautiful  sunny autumn day, warm in the sun and plenty of colour developing in the leaves.
This is fairly near home , I think they are the Skeltons’ horses having a good gallop round the track . We walked about 10 miles and got to the Kings Head Aston Cantlow for a delicious  late lunch at three o’clock.
Who knows what further restrictions are going to be  handed down tomorrow. There’s a fresh wave of Covid sweeping across Europe, the days are getting shorter and darker. It’s sad and worrying. At least I know we made the most of a beautiful day.
