Chatsworth reflections
A lovely autumnal day so we thought we would ‘do’ mam tor. Sadly so did every one else in Derbyshire and beyond. Having seen the streams of people walking it we both felt it was unsafe so cha ged our plans.
Went to Buxton via Whaley Bridge ( which was nearly flooded by a breach to a damn in August 2019) and had a wander round Buxton. First time we’d seen the crescent since it had been re stored, and it looks very well done. Sadly the town, like so many others had many empty shops but it is still a lovely place.
Came back to the caravan and walked through the grounds of Chatsworth to Edensor. Saw two of the red deer stags that have been very vocal while we have been here! (See extra) think I needed a more paparazzi lens to do them justice, but what magnificent beasts they were.
Also saw a herd of fallow deer and their stags but the blip for today had to be the house reflected in the river Derwent.
