Wildfire from the plane
Monday September 28
This morning we reluctantly left the mountains behind and headed back home. We had said goodbye to Jen last night, as she is working a night shift tonight, so she stayed up late last night with the hope of sleeping late this morning. Jason took us to the airport. When we flew in two weeks ago, we had come in through the old terminal, but the new terminal opened the next day, so we got to leave through the light and airy new terminal. Our flight coming had been largely empty, but today it was more normal, while still blocking the middle seats. I was taking a few photographs soon after we took off, and I spotted what appears to be a wildfire in the mountains east of Salt Lake. It can’t have been anything major, as I couldn’t find anything when I googled it, and Jen didn’t hear anything about it. By the time we got home, with the time change, it was late afternoon.
