Eerily quiet

Stratford on Avon High street at mid day.
It was a dull day, but not (yet) raining. There were so few people that I would assume that they were all locals or semi locals like us.
An almost entirely fruitless shopping trip, things that we wanted from M&S weren’t in this store.  Or, as subsequent research  revealed, in any store within a ten mile radius. So I followed my D in L‘s advice, did something that I dislike, ordered on line, knowing that there was a good chance that it would need to be returned .
